GP Registrars and Doctors In Training |
|
|
We are one of a small number of
practices locally that provides additional training to fully qualified
doctors who intend to specialise in General Practice. The GP Registrars are
attached to the Medical Centre for 6 months at a time and are fully
registered with the General Medical Council. We provide training to doctors in
their 2nd year after qualification for 4 month attachments,
again these doctors are fully registered. All doctors in training are
supervised by a named doctor in the practice for every session that they
work. As part of their further training
you may be asked if you agree to have your appointment with them recorded on
video. The video would not record any physical examinations and you are
completely free to say no to this without your treatment at the Centre being
affected. From time to time we also help train
student doctors from |

The Practice Team |
|
|
Our Practice Manager, Mrs Scilla Ash, will be able to help you with administrative
or non-medical aspects of your care and treatment. She is also available to
discuss any suggestions or complaints that you may wish to make. In common
with all Practices we have a formal complaints procedure, which we are happy
to explain to you. We have five Practice Nurses who
undertake a variety of procedures including blood
pressure monitoring, diabetes, asthma and other chronic illness monitoring,
cervical smears and pill checks, ear syringing and wound and ulcer dressings. We have a large team of dispensers,
receptionists, secretaries and administrative staff who are all fully trained
to help with the day-to-day running of the Practice. |
